In the future, Earth is no longer inhabitable. A school field trip leads the class and a few marine grunts to the remains of Camp Crystal Lake where they discover two croygenically frozen bodies, one of a beautiful young woman, and the other, a vaguely familiar looking man in a hockey mask and carrying a machete in his right hand. The group decides to bring the bodies back for testing and re-animation. But what was the first mistake, bringing the two bodies back with them or thawing them out so that the unstoppable Jason Voorhees (Kane Hodder) can return again to wreak havok and murder everyone in his sight? But what if Jason was upgraded, making him more dangerous than he ever was before?
Jason Voorhees returns with a new look, a new machete, and his same murderous attitude as he is awakened on a spaceship in the 25th century.
This movie sucked because Jason in space is retarded. it was OK until the guy who got split in half was still alive, not to mention Jason with armor. the movie would have been better if Jason was restored with his normal form. even though this movie sucked i give it 3/10 because i don't know. i believe that Jason v Freddy was OK,i actually went to see it in theaters, usually i don't do that but i was bored and had nothing to do. i was rooting for Jason because i think killing people in there dreams just makes that person a pu**y. Jason has balls to go up to a dumb big breasted blonde who runs like a snail and trips over her own feet and slice her in half. thats cool.Jason does get boring because the killings are mostly all the same.
Being a fan of the Friday the 13th films and remembering them fondly due to a high amount of gore and nudity, Jason returns in this tenth installment but this feels more like a direct to video joke more than anything. Jason is in some weird lab and gets loose somehow (yeah, like in Jason Goes to Hell, I guess we must forget parts 1-9) killing people in a non gory fashion (how late 90's) and gets frozen. Now it's 455 years later and a group of students on a space ship find Jason who they unfreeze like a bunch of schmucks and now he's loose, killing them all.

There is NO gore at all, less than any of previous films and hardly any nudity that us men love to see in our Friday the 13th films. There is non stop comedic one-liners that must be put in all modern horror films, thus re-enforcing the fact that the horror genre is dead (thanks to Scream and I Know What You Did Last Summer). Is the audience now that stupid that they must need comedic scenes after all scary scenes? I actually think that moviegoers are getting more moronic as time goes by.

I am glad the film makers spat in the faces of all 80's Friday the 13th films and it's fans. Watching this bootleg version with all the "gore" intact (what a joke, go see an action film now if you want gore) made me realize that because of all the hip young actors making stupid jokes and not showing their privates, this film will gross a ton of money. Too bad, this just makes me want to go back and look at all the Paramount 80's Friday the 13th films. All of a sudden, Jason Takes Manhattan is a masterpiece
The only chills to be found are courtesy of your theater's central air, and the suspense will come from the wait to see which disappointed kid in a hockey mask will be the first to slash the screen.
After Freddy vs Jason. In that film Jason is ressurected by supernatural serial killer Freddy Kruger after being sent to hell at the end of Jason Goes to Hell and eventually defeats him and emerges triumphant from Crystal Lake. He is then captured by unknown parties and is being held by the military at the beginning of this film. Unknown, it may have been the military themselves although other suggestions have included Tommy Jarvis (from the fourth, fifth and sixth films) or Jason's niece and her boyfriend from Jason Goes to Hell. He is holding only the back of her head and dunking her face in, and presumably thought the nitrogen was just water in which he could drown her. Brodski used the jet pack on his spacesuit to escape and fly around to the side. Very possibly, but odds are this question will never be answered properly, given that we didn't see Jason's final state in this movie (i.e. whether he was disintegrated completely on re-entering Earth II's atmosphere, leaving only his mask, or whether he survived and the mask was simply separated from his head), and the remake means that there will likely be no future film to fill in the gaps. The script has someone pulling Jason's mask out of the water at the end (though doesn't specify if it is Jason), and comic books show that Jason did survive the end of this movie; whether or not you count them as being a proper part of the Friday the 13th storyline boils largely down to personal taste. In terms of the movies however, this is the last one in the original storyline so yes, he is dead. So far, there are 12 movies in the Friday the 13th series. Beginning with Friday the 13th (1980) (1980), following are Friday the 13th Part 2 (1981) (1981), Friday the 13th Part III (1982) (1982), Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter (1984) (1984), Friday the 13th: A New Beginning (1985) (1985), Jason Lives: Friday the 13th Part VI (1986) (1986), Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood (1988) (1988), Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan (1989) (1989), Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday (1993) (1993), Jason X (2001) (2001), Freddy vs. Jason (2003) (2003), and Friday the 13th (2009) (2009). A fan film, The Cold Heart of Crystal Lake (2003), was also released in 2003. A documentary about Jason, His Name Was Jason: 30 Years of Friday the 13th (2009), was released February 10th 2009.
